During the visit on the 26th-29th March experts from the area of education, employment and international relations presented the work of the Fundación Secretariado Gitano (FSG) for the international partners of the project.

The participants got to know these areas focusing and explaining our “Promociona” and “Acceder” program. The study-visits included visits to two educational centres that collaborate with the FSG and the “Inventors Club” of the NGO Creatica, in which students from our “Promociona” program participate and which offer young people an introduction to digital creation, in which Technological projects that are developed arise from the inventiveness of the participants. During the visits the participants had the opportunity to talk and exchange opinions with employment consultant, teachers and Promociona students.

A Business roundtable was also organized where companies collaborating with the “Acceder” programme (ISS Facility Services and Expertus) shared their experiences of collaboration with the FSG and reflected on the value of cooperation between private companies / foundations and NGOs to achieve labour insertion of the Roma population. One of our participants in the program also participated in the roundtable and she shared her personal experience and the changes experienced in her work situation.

The project “Find your way to the world of work” is funded by the EEA and Norway Grants and its objective is to support disadvantaged young people between 15 and 29 years old to have equal access to education and quality jobs.
